It cannot know your exact horizon, trees, buildings, haze, changing clouds, telescope alignment, or individual eyesight. Use it to get oriented, then adjust to what you actually see. Never use this route for observing the Sun.

HOW THIS ROUTE WAS BUILT
Targets are ranked locally from darkness, elevation, brightness, cloud, Moon glare, and practical timing. ISS passes are orbital predictions and are anchored to their rise and set times. The optional alignment uses an absolute compass heading, not the camera. Calibrate with a figure-eight motion, keep the phone away from magnets and metal, and verify against a known direction. Directions cannot account for buildings, trees, terrain, haze, magnetic interference, or your exact horizon.
